Jon And Arya Fall In Love In The Original ‘Game Of Thrones’ Draft With These Bizarre Plot Twists!

A lot of what’s happening in Game of Thrones season 8 is making us put our wildest imaginations to use and think of other possible endings! With the possible plot leaks narrating how the show’s going to end, making fans sob tears of disappointment, we are forcing ourselves to think how things could have been different for our beloved characters.

What if Ned Stark wasn’t executed? What if Khal Drogo was alive? What if Bran told everyone about Jaime right after he opened his eyes? We’ll never know.

But recently George R.R. Martin’s 1993 original draft for A Song of Ice and Fire has surfaced online and things were originally planned a lot differently. We can’t keep calm about how the story would have turned out if the original narrative was followed by GRRM!

A particular user posted pictures of the original 1993 draft on Twitter and according to it, Jon and Arya were supposed to be passionately in love with each other!

You’re probably going all “eww” in your mind.

“She (Arya) realises, with terror, that she has fallen in love with Jon, who is not only her half-brother but a man of the Night’s Watch, sworn to celibacy. Their passion will continue to torment Jon and Arya…until the secret of Jon’s true parentage is finally revealed in the last book”, he writes.

The draft also revealed other shocking original narratives which are totally different from how things panned out.

Not just Jon, but even Tyrion was supposed to fall in love with Arya, causing a very cold and hated relationship between Jon and him. Sansa was supposed to bear a child for Joffrey and hence had to side with him when he had Ned executed, a decision she’d regret for the rest of her life.

Tyrion was supposed to besiege and burn Winterfell after him and Jaime defeated Robb Stark in battle.

Daenerys was supposed to kill Khal Drogo out of hatred for killing Viserys.

The entire story was supposed to form a trilogy consisting of A Game of Thrones (the backbone of the story with all the betrayals, battles, and revenge that took place), Dance with Dragons (story of Dany being a greater threat to Westeros, arriving with her Dothraki army to invade the Seven Kingdoms), and Winds of Winter (story of the Night King and the great war).

It’s mind-blowing to imagine how things would have turned out if GRRM would have stuck to his original plan!
