In an era where action IPs are either rehashes or continuations of older movies, Keanu Reeves entered into a wholly original universe as John Wick. And the goal for it was simple. Keep the story straightforward and the action innovative as hell.
Given how directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski has done exactly that for ‘John Wick’ and ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’, the series has garnered a huge amount of love from everyone. That’s why here we are back again Wick who’s out to assassinate more assassins.
‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ opens with John Wick on the run, after killing Santino inside the Continental, thereby rendering him “excommunicado”. And that means every single assassin out there wants to kill Wick to get some moolah.
The trailer shows Wick trying to find some kind of shelter, all the while being hunted by assassins on bikes, in bathtubs and just any place imaginable. And Wick takes them out with the help of knives, guns and, wait for it, a book!

‘John Wick: Chapter 3 -Parabellum’ will release on May 17th, so it’s a bit early to decide whether it’ll be able to top its predecessors. But the Roger Deakins-‘Skyfall’ aesthetic achieved by Dan Laustsen has already put it at the top of the series from a visual standpoint. And the final moments will also please dog lovers, because they finally get their revenge alongside John Wick.
