Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is You, WHAM’s Last Christmas and Bobby Helms’ Jingle Bell Rock are almost synonymous with Christmas. But there’s nothing quite like the iconic ‘Jingle Bells’ that encompasses the spirit of the festival.
Which is why people all over the country celebrated by giving the song their own personal touch. There was a version with a Sinkari melam twist, Bhojpuri Jingle Belwa and also renditions in Gujarati and Marathi.
Now, a video shows a girl wearing a Maharashtrian style Nauvari saree and playing the classic song on a Saxophone accompanied by Puneri dhol tasha. Check it out.
It is not clear when and where this footage was captured but people are loving how different cultures and traditions are blending beautifully in the video. Many are also sharing it on social media.
This desi version of ‘Jingle Bells’ is getting a big thumbs up online. Here are a few reactions. Take a look.
