Migrant workers across the country trying to get back home deserve our help and support instead of facing hardships in the scorching summer heat. It is true that the situation shouldn’t have become a crisis in the first place but let’s give credit where credit’s due and appreciate everyone that is coming forward to ease their suffering.
According to News18, Jhansi police set up tents for migrants at the Uttar Pradesh –Madhya Pradesh border and distributed toys to the kids and face masks to their mothers.

Hindustan Times quoted Jhansi SP Rahul Srivastava saying,
“We have made these tents hospitable. We have set up heatproof and waterproof tents for migrant workers and their families. We want children and women to feel comfortable before leaving for their destination. The scorching heat has compounded their misery. They have to wait for long hours at every border to proceed ahead. We serve them food and water, but we realize that small children don’t feel like eating much. They cry persistently, so we thought toys might cheer them up.”
He added, “We wanted to bring a smile on their faces, add some love and warmth in this cruel heat. It was such a joy to see them happy.”
Kudos to @jhansipolice that brought precious smiles on the faces of little children of migrant workers to whom they gifted toys.
