Twitter Floods With Blessings & Memes As JEE-Main Aspirants Appear For Entrance Exam

The Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE), conducted for admission to various engineering colleges across India, began today amid a surge in coronavirus cases in the country. Even though several students were apprehensive about appearing for the exam citing safety issues, a number of precautionary measures and an extensive list of guidelines was released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), which is in-charge of conducting the competitive entrance test, reports NDTV.

According to News18, as many as 8.58 lakh candidates have registered for the examination. As several students lined up to give their exams, authorities tried to ensure that social distancing was maintained throughout the process. It was made mandatory for everyone to wear face masks and gloves and candidates were asked to carry their own water bottles and hand sanitizers.

While the entrance exam itself is one of the toughest to crack in the world, students also had to deal with the corona scare. Many people came out in support of the students and wished them good luck for the exams.

Many people also found humor in the situation:

The JEE-Main will be held between September 1 and September 6. We wish all the students good luck and good health during the pandemic.
