Jayalalithaa Jayaram, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has been the target of controversial news for a long time. All that sentencing and getting evicted, she has enjoyed her share of news and controversies. Just when we thought that it’d be over, we have another controversy surrounding her already!
It was the swearing-in ceremony of Jayalalithaa Jayaram at Madras University auditorium in Chennai on Saturday and the national anthem was cut short by 20 seconds! And that too in the presence of some of the highest dignitaries of the state.
An abridged version of the 52-second-long national anthem was played before the oath ceremony, apparently to make sure the event begins on a time considered auspicious by the AIADMK. The full version was later played at the end of the ceremony.
