‘Jawan’ Goes International! Gets Nominated For ASTRA Award Alongside ‘Barbie’ & ‘Oppenheimer’

After ‘Jawan’ was released at the theatres and managed to earn over 1000 crore rupees at the box office, the director of the film, Atlee, expressed his desire to take the film to the Oscars. At that time, the internet collectively said ‘No’ because let’s be real, ‘Jawan’ is an entertaining film, certain aspects of it are great, but is it a ‘great’ film? A lot of people don’t seem to think so. However, even if not the Oscars, the film has already started to make strides on international platforms.

‘Jawan’ has been nominated for the ASTRA Awards under the Best International Feature category, reported Hindustan Times. The ASTRA Awards are the annual awards for the Australian subscription television industry that recognise the “wealth of talent that drives the Australian subscription television industry and highlight the creativity, commitment and investment in production and broadcasting.”
