Video Of Ishant Sharma & Ravindra Jadeja In A Nasty Altercation During Perth Test Goes Viral

After losing the first Test at the Adelaide, Oval, the comparatively inexperienced Aussies showed immense character and guts to crush the Indians in the second Test at Perth on Tuesday. The whopping 146 run defeat has pointed out the significant loopholes in Ravi Shastri’s number one Test side which need to be settled before the heavyweights lock horns at Melbourne.

Apart from the Indian openers scoring in single digits, there have been a few other talking points as far as the visitors are concerned. Take, for example, a dramatic altercation that took place between Ravindra Jadeja and Ishant Sharma on the fourth day’s play.

In a video clip shared by Channel Seven, Jadeja and Ishant were seen confronting each other aggressively and exchanging a few words between themselves. The argument looked to be a pretty serious one with a lot of finger pointing involved in the act.

The episode transpired when the audacious display of batting from the hosts frustrated the Indians and was slowly sweeping away the tie from them.

It is believed that neither Ishant nor Jadeja wanted to stand at fine leg, a relatively dead position on the cricket field. Describing the situation at that moment, Aussie legend Ricky Ponting who was on the mike at the commentary box, said,

“Who knows what they’re talking about. It does seem very animated, there’s lots of finger-pointing.”
