Believe it or not but breakups are sad and oftentimes bitter. Even in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’, Jai and Meera try to be all cordial about their separation and even throw a ‘breakup party’ but what happens then? They still remain two broken-hearted individuals with unresolved issues to solve.
There are some broken-up couples who spew venom against each other after a breakup. There’s bad blood. But there are also people who maturely handle the separation, keep the bad thoughts to themselves and talk positively about their former partners when in public. Ishaan Khatter is one such person.
In his recent appearance in ‘Koffee With Karan’, Ishaan Khatter had only good things to say about his ex-girlfriend Ananya Panday. According to NDTV, the two briefly dated after co-starring in the film ‘Kaali Peeli’ in 2020. They even ushered in the 2021 New Year together in the Maldives.

“I would hope to have her as a friend for the rest of my life. She is one of the most wonderful people I have known. She is a sweetheart, she really is. Anyone who has met her would say this. She genuinely is a sweetheart. And all pulpy questions aside, she is someone who is very dear to me and will always remain so,” Ishaan said about Ananya.
This is an ideal example of how to be respectful of a past relationship. Along with bad memories, there are also good memories that should be honoured, especially if it was a relationship that wasn’t extremely hurtful.
