In the on-going Indian Premier League (IPL), which is being held in Dubai, MS Dhoni-led team Chennai Super Kings lost their third match in a row recently. Up against Sunrisers Hyderabad, CSK couldn’t manage to score just 157 runs in their quota of 20 overs. But what came as a surprise for many was when Dhoni, who is one of the fittest cricketers in the world, was seen struggling in the searing heat in UAE, reports HT.
Why is this making me so sad 😞 Still love you M.S – forever a fan in whichever way! 💛 #Thala #Dhoni #CSKvsSRH @ChennaiIPL 🦁 pic.twitter.com/wmvRz73fd2

Despite staying unbeaten on 47 runs off 36 balls, Dhoni was unable to cope with the humidity during the match, reports DNA. And, while Captain cool went on to explain what really happened on the field, a recent tweet by former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan has raised some eyebrows. After Dhoni struggled to get his team past the finishing line, Irfan shared a cryptic tweet that made people question who it was directed towards, reports Times Now.
Age is just a number for some and for others a reason to be dropped…
— Irfan Pathan (@IrfanPathan) October 3, 2020
Although Irfan did not mention Dhoni’s name, many people assumed that his tweet was pointed towards the former India captain. While few people accused Dhoni of being a hypocrite others spoke in his favor.
Only performance matters not age
You both brothers got equal chances like dhoni but you did not perform.
From 2008 to 2020 he is most important player for CSK.
You were not able to do this for 2 to 3 years.
Age matters only for non performance.— Netrapal singh (@netrapalsingh) October 3, 2020
match fixer dhoni does not want senior players to be in team stating sloww runners on field, but this fixer will play till 40 even though he could nt play, pure selfish man dhoni

*Irfan Pathan in his last 10 ODI Matches had Batting Average of 48.3*
*And took 19 Wickets in his last 10 Matches and a Fifer in last match …Still Dhoni ended his career at age of 28 despite performing excellent*
You gotta feel sad for @IrfanPathan 😭

Sir aapko Dhoni se inti dikkat kyu hai ?

When Dhoni performs (hardly these days)
Fans – Age is just a number
When he don't perform( usually these days)
Fans – He is 39, still running doubles ,that's enough for us #Dhoni

Well age is still not important dear… performance speaks!!..and he(u indirectly mentioned person)never dropped any player due to age!!..there is lot of difference btw age& performance😊🙏

True. Why people hyped him so much I still don't know? His wicket keeping skills are mediocre, batting much less than even Sanju, not the best captain ever.On the contrary, spoilt at least a dozen career, which was a big loss for India. He is basically a man who likes sycophants around

Clearly you don't have guts to say his name.. bro c'mon show some respect to d legend. It's not all about throwing the ball with 140kph speed.. it's all about focusing the ball till the very end and connect the shot to get a boundary and run 31kmph to get doubles and singles.

When dhoni was Playing international games he was on top so age was a number whereas your performance dipped day by day and you didn't show any sign to improve, you were sidelined but still dragging Dhoni's name to gain attention well done though …victim card is always on for u
