One of the greatest ills that our society practices is duplicity. We teach kids to glorify war by giving them G.I. Joes, toy guns, and video games where you win by killing other people but we teach them that physical intimacy is wrong. We want to be ‘modern’ but shame women for wearing ‘western’ clothes. I could go on!
I say this because an IPS officer from Delhi recently took to Twitter to post a picture of a couple spending time together in a park and shamed them for PDA.
“What do we explain to our kids when we take them to park for outing and they see this?”, she wrote.
The picture shows a couple sitting on the grass and sharing a laugh. The woman is seen leaning against the man.

People on the internet slammed the IPS officer for moral policing, photographing unknown people without their consent, and shaming the couple on no proper grounds. Many pointed out that the couple was doing nothing inappropriate and were just having a good time.

Tell them that it is PDA. Tell them that it is natural to love but that the parents of those couples don't accept their love because of which they had to resort to parks for secret recreation.

Please explain them this is OK, this is consensual, this is not a crime, they shouldn't indulge in moral policing when they come across anything like this. They should respect others choice ahead of their own personal views or culture. Teach them about permission while clicking.

If only people could spill less hate, mind their own business, and let others be! Only then will we be able to evolve as a society. There is absolutely nothing wrong with some harmless PDA!
