The most sought-after cricket tournament, Indian Premier League (IPL) finally concluded in Dubai last night. And Rohit Sharma lead Mumbai Indians lifted the winning trophy after defeating Delhi Capitals in the final match, reported The Indian Express.

Rohit’s 68 off 51 balls helped Mumbai Indians chase the target of 157 in 18.4 overs making them the winners for the fifth time. Trent Boult’s dhamakedaar paari made him the Man-of-the-final.
“Some days I do like the powerplay. It’s been a good few months, giving the franchise a good start. With everything going on, I’ve been welcomed in the side. To have made it across the line, it’s been worth it. I wasn’t aware of the talk, but I did have a niggle coming into the match. I wanted to be on the stage and happy I came through. I’d like to say I’m relatively experienced.”
“Just another match and I was clear what I had to do. Tried to take a few early wickets, swing the new ball a little bit, that’s been my role in the side,” Trent said. That’s not it, the winning team was also bestowed with the Fairplay Award.
Mumbai Indian supporters were overjoyed on watching their favorite team being crowned with the title. And obviously, there were also some who were left disappointed.
But whatever it is, we were served with an incessant supply of memes that had us ROFL. Take a look:

However, there were also some who were not depressed because of the match results, but were sad because the two-months-long cricketing action came to an end. IPL had kept them engaged while they stayed cooped up at home due to coronavirus scare.
And since that source of entertainment is gone, they don’t really know what to do next. People online expressed this dismay by sharing memes.

Well, IPL did keep us engaged and restricted us from doing mindless shopping during the Diwali sale. But now, it looks like we don’t really have a choice but to lend a hand for Diwali Ki Safai. *crying*
