Indore Gets First Contactless Pani Puri Machine That Dispenses Flavored Water Automatically

There is a lot of uncertainty regarding how the post-COVID world is to operate. Many foodies and puchka lovers are left doubtful whether they can get back to enjoying their favorite street food the old way. Many pani-puri and chaat walas use their bare hands into making the dish which can be unsanitary, especially now. For instance, a Kolhapur vendor was recently caught mixing toilet water with pani puri, which resulted in angry locals ravaging his cart.

Thus came automated machines as a jugaadu solution to such incidents. After a Gujarat guy gave a demo of his pani-puri vending machine, the city of Indore comes next.

As per a report in NDTV, a food stall in Indore, Madhya Pradesh called ‘Swacch Pani Puri’ has come up with an automated pani-puri vending machine which is touted to be hygienic as it makes zero-contact with the customer.

The caption to the video explains how such a machine has been installed for the first time in Indore. The stall’s concept involves pre-made puris or batashe which are provided to the customers by a mask-wearing vendor.

The vendor’s role ends here, as the puris are to be brought under the vending machine’s taps which would automatically dispense the flavored water into them. Extra pani can also be availed from the same tap. Thus, social distancing is maintained.
