You may come across people who are in love with two people at once. They might even date the two simultaneously. But usually, they are expected to choose and settle down with one and end things with the other. In the end, someone’s heart is destined to get broken.
However, one Indonesian man didn’t want to break hearts. He had two girlfriends and married both of them because he didn’t want to hurt either of them!
According to sources, an Indonesian man can marry more than once if only his first wife approves of the other. The fact that the groom married the two women simultaneously is what stirred controversy online in Indonesia.
“My heart couldn’t stand to see them hurt. So I decided to marry them both,” the man told the local media.
One of the other traditions in Indonesia is dowry, but unlike the bride’s family paying the groom, Indonesian grooms need to pay a hefty amount to the bride’s family in order to show that he can take care of the bride.
Following this tradition, this groom paid dowry to the families of both the brides!
