IndiGo Passenger Shares How Guy Made Air Hostess Fasten Seatbelt For A Bet, His Group Cheered

Many women in the service industry, like air hostesses, hotel, and restaurant staff, frequently endure unwanted sexual advances, crude comments, and predatory behavior from men. These professionals, who work hard to provide services, often find themselves subjected to uncomfortable situations. Whether it’s lewd remarks or inappropriate touching, these experiences create a hostile work environment.

For example, a user took to Reddit’s r/india subreddit to share an uncomfortable incident that took place on an IndiGo flight. The person sharing the incident is a solo traveller and they came across a group of 12-15 youngsters. It seemed like they were professionals and worked at the same office and were on their way to a colleague’s office. 3 of the people from the group were women.

The user further divulged that some guys from the group were making comments about an air hostess. One of the guys said that he could get the air hostess to buckle up his friend. They made a bet. They called the air hostess and asked her to buckle the guy up because they couldn’t do it themselves. The air hostess, very graciously, did her job, completely unaware of what was happening behind the scenes.

“As they were boarding the flight, some of them were commenting on the air hostess. Once they sat, one guy said he could get the air hostess to buckle his friend up. Then he accepted the challenge and calls the air hostess and tells her ‘the buckle isnt working properly. Can you help?’. She politely buckles his seat which had no issues. When she goes away they cheer for him and that shockingly included the ladies who were travelling in that group. They were calling some of them ‘Sir, which means some senior in the company. Not a single person in the group objected and even the women found it funny to degrade the air hostess. (sic)”

What was shocking is that even the women in the group cheered for the guy after he was buckled up by the air hostess.
