While boarding a flight, most of us keep our fingers crossed hoping to get a window seat. There’s just something about staring at the vast blue sky with clouds floating around like cotton, even though visiting the toilet requires toppling over the two people sitting beside you!
But the view somehow becomes all the more exciting when we spot another plane. So imagine the sheer joy of the onlookers of this particular flight on viewing a rocket from their windows!
An Indigo Airlines pilot, Capt Karun Karumbaya, recently spotted and captured the launch of a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on camera from inside his cockpit.
Wanting his passengers to experience the beautiful view, he addressed them in an announcement asking them to look outside.
In a viral video which is making rounds on the internet, the pilot can be heard saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, on the right look outside the window you can see the PSLV launch. It is a rocket taking off”.
Mesmerised by the view he added, “Beauty yaar! Wow! That’s amazing”.

Netizens have become fans of this fantastic view and are cheering Capt Karumbaya for his presence of mind.
Taking on Twitter, some are even comparing it to an Interstellar like experience!

According to sources, EMISAT, a satellite meant to provide intelligence to the armed forces, was launched from the Sriharikota spaceport by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) today.
”Today, PSLV-C45 successfully injected EMISAT in a 748-km orbit and 28 other satellites in a 504-km orbit as sought by the customers,” ISRO Chairman K. Sivan said.
