90’s Kids Dive Into Nostalgia As #IndiaWantsPerman Trends Online

After #JusticeForChutki trended on Twitter a few weeks ago, cartoon fanatics are at it again. This time, it is about the Japanese Manga ‘Perman’ – a clumsy boy who doubles as a superhero.

People woke up to #IndiaWantsPerman erupting on Twitter as a Perman campaign was scheduled for July 2. It was launched to bring back new episodes and also release the Hindi-dub of the movie ‘Pa-Pa-Pa the Movie: Perman’.

An online petition is also live with over 10,000 signatures until now. According to them, cartoons like Shinchan and Doraemon have movies in multiple languages in India, so Perman should also have one.

90’s kids all over went on a trip down the memory lane. While some are gushing over the character, others are reminiscing about the time they watched the anime.

On the other hand, some people were left confused about what it all meant. Due to the lack of capital letters in the hashtag, they even misread it as “sperm man”.

Then there were people who took this opportunity to demand the return of their other childhood favourites, a.k.a. Noddy, Oswald, and many more.

The fun and hilarity of it all has certainly grabbed a lot of limelight. We can always count on netizens to come up with the most hilarious memes to add some happiness to our day.
