Someone Painted “Thanks” On Rooftop After Indian Navy Rescued 2 Women From Flooded Kerala Home

thanks

Men and women in uniforms and localites alike have really stepped up to their task of saving Kerala from the worst flood in the state’s history. These heroes have been working day and night for weeks now to rescue the lakhs of people stranded in their flood-ravaged homes.

Kerala would’ve been all but lost without the help of the three wings of the Indian Armed Forces – the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.

Operation Madad has been integral in keeping the death toll under control in what would’ve been a calamity of disastrous levels otherwise.

Thousands of Keralites were given a new lease on life by these heroes, who in some cases even helped bring new life into the world safely.

Their contribution is not one the state will forget any time soon as people are overcome with gratitude for these brave souls.

And in a surprising bid to express this gratitude to these soldiers quite literally, someone painted “thanks” on the rooftop of a house.

The Spokesperson of Navy share the images on Twitter revealing that it was the same house where a Naval ALH piloted by Cdr Vijay Varma had saved 2 women:

This sweet gesture is but a small fraction of the praise these men deserve for their tireless work in helping Kerala overcome this crisis. Bravo to all the men and women of the Indian armed forces for their constant contributions in keeping their countrymen safe. Salute!
