Elon Musk, the real-life iron man, needs no introduction. Apart from spearheading the growth of aerospace technology with SpaceX, Musk is also known for his entrepreneurial but environment-friendly ventures. Ever heard of Tesla? (Of course, you have!)
Unfortunately, we have only heard of the electric sedan manufacturer because Tesla is yet to debut in Indian markets. Yes, talks of it making a grand entry with its then launched Model 3 were doing the rounds but nothing actually materialised.
But hopes flew high when an enthusiastic Indian chap asked Elon about Tesla’s future plans in India.
Are there any chances for Tesla to release in India in 2017 or 2018? Waiting for that.

But Elon squashed them all, interestingly, with a disclaimer!
Maybe I'm misinformed, but I was told that 30% of parts must be locally sourced and the supply doesn't yet exist in India to support that.

We all went home after that…until…
The Government of India decided to take matters into the hand and tweeted to Elon Musk suggesting the clarifications!

Well, now that is all cleared up, can we expect to see Tesla running on Indian roads, eh?
