Indian Army Uses Fallen Trees To Build A 40-ft Bridge After Roads Gets Washed Away In Kerala

The state of Kerala has been hit by unprecedented floods aa the rains continue to wreak havoc in several parts of the state. The impact of the natural calamity has been huge causing a situation of emergency in a few areas. It is believed to be the worst flood in Kerala since 1924 and the people are in dire need of help.

And it was none other than the Indian Army who came forward to rescue the people in urgency.

The Army showed it’s expertise by coming to the aid of the locals at Malappuram, where a road got washed away. The men in action constructed a 40-ft long footbridge putting the local resources to good use. Now that’s a masterstroke!

The bridge has been made from the fallen palm trees and we are nothing but mesmerized by the intelligence and prowess of the Indian Army.

The Army has also built a makeshift bridge in Wayanad and rescued as many as 800 people who were left homeless by the disaster.

The relief work in Kerala has been titled as ‘Operation Shayog’ and had personnel from the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and NDRF working in harshly affected areas.
