Meet Sonal Holland, World’s First Indian To Be Certified As Master Of Wine. #Proud!

It’s not a part of the Indian culture but is slowly becoming an important part of an Indian dining scene. Wine is loved not only because it represents status but also for its health benefits.

Sonal Holland, a Mumbai- based connoisseur was announced as the world’s first Master of Wine from India. She was certified by the London based Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW).

She has a successful digital channel known as Sonal Holland Wine TC On which she dispenses her knowledge and tips to wine enthusiasts.

 

A certified wine educator, broadcaster, judge and wine consultant, Holland used to be Director of National Sales for a multi-national, Fortune 500 company but her love for wine saw the best of her.

“I never wanted to pretend that I knew what I was talking about, and wanted to back it up with credentials and qualifications.”

 

Becoming a Master of Wine means a sure shot entry into the world’s best wine community. She is not only the first Master of Wine in India, she is also the first woman from the country to get this honour.
