Pak PM Trolled For Not Doing His Homework After He Misquotes Rabindranath Tagore!

The advent of social media seems to have offered trolls and meme creators a full-time job. While most jibes are entertaining, they often put one’s every statement on the radar of creative illustrators. In fact, millions of people on twitter are waiting to rip to shreds with their wit for every blunder you make.

And if you are a public figure, say the head of a country with 9.8 million followers, the least you can do is cross check the facts before posting them online. But, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan once again became the source of amusement for Twitterati after he posted his musings on Twitter.

The very busy PM (or his social media team) forgot to do his homework and wrongly attributed the Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore’s quote to a Lebanese-American writer and poet, Kahlil Gibran.

Here is what he posted:

As expected, Twitter’s got no chill and the Prime Minister’s post was flooded with tweets that will keep you entertained for a couple of hours:

As it is rightly said, fame is a doubled edged sword. Hence have your social media team vet your posts Mr. Khan, lest the troll brigade slam you again!
