Whenever a popular foreign brand opens a store in India, our people lose their calm. I remember the first time a Starbucks store opened up in our city. Even H&M. Customers thronged the store and shopped their hearts out like there was no tomorrow.

And now, the Swedish home furnishing brand IKEA opened up in Bangalore and it caused not just a massive traffic jam in the Nagasandra area but also led to long queues to be formed towards the entrance as thousands of Bangaloreans arrived to shop! According to Indian Express, the waiting time for customers to enter the store was raised by 3 hours!
