These Relatable Comics Hilariously Take A Dig At The Hypocrisy Of Indian Society!

India is an extremely diverse nation. We are a country with over a dozen languages, with hundreds of dialects, scores of varied traditions and an array of cultures and religions. However, despite all of this diversity, there is a unifying thread of ‘Indianness’ that runs through all of us. This is the thread of experiences which each and every one of us can relate to at some level or another.

Brown Paper Bags hilariously illustrate these totally relatable experiences and so many of them reek of hypocrisy:

1. Turmeric is the solution to everything.

2. The distinct smell of hypocrisy.

3. There it is again.

4. Yeah, in front of the maid, you have no power over the fan. 😛

5. Okay that’s sad, but totally true.

6. Boys?! Haw!

7. You’re clearly the authority when it comes to good decisions.

8. Ancestors are so very proud of you.

9. Can you smell it here? (hypocrisy)

10. Go green. Sure. That bill is definitely helping.

11. Well, technically, you must have joy in giving.

12. Notes are invalid but chocolates, sure!

We’ve experienced these little quirks growing up and most probably so will our kids. Sometimes we don’t even realise we’re being hypocritical. These comics, certainly disillusion us to some of the obvious instances, albeit hilariously!
