Hyderabad Police’s Sassy Two Liner Is For ‘Laaton Ke Bhoot’ Who Ignores Good ‘Baatein’

It is a matter of shame that the country of India has been a thriving ground for brutal crimes such as rape, sexual abuse, and harassment, in recent times. And with these cases increasing at an alarming rate instead of decreasing, safety for women in this country remains a crumbling illusion.

However, if there is a city which is trying to give women the respect they deserve, it is Hyderabad. Read on, we will tell you how.

Asking everyone to treat women with respect, the Hyderabad Traffic Police put up a cheeky message on an electronic board at the roadside. Not only that, but it also warned the public that they are under the watchful eyes of the ‘She Team’, which is a part of the Hyderabad Police. The message read,

“Respect Women. She Teams are watching.”

The beauty of the message lies in the fact that it’s a good advice clubbed with a fair warning. Or is it a sassy warning under the guise of an advice? Whatever be the case, it’s a winner because it keeps the ‘laaton ke bhoots’ under check. Behave or else face the consequences.

The board was spotted by a Reddit user TeeBeeSee who shared it from his account. He captioned the picture as ‘With Regards, Hyderabad Police’.

In case you are wondering about the ‘She Teams’, it is a kind initiative launched by the Telangana government to provide a safe and secure environment for women. The initiative which is led by IPS officer Ms. Swati Lakra aims at giving timely police help to women when in need and wipe off crime and abuse against women from the country.

The message is clear from the Hyderabad Police that the city will not tolerate any kind of disrespect towards women. Period.
