Hyderabad Rainfall Brings City To A Standstill With Floating Vehicles & Missing People

The city of Hyderabad underwent severe floods after heavy rainfall (10-12 cm) recently. According to NDTV, low-lying areas across the state suffered immensely as rainwater entered several people’s homes.  Two people have been reported missing after they were swept away by the strong currents.

Shocking visuals have been going viral wherein we can see how not just the roads have been flooded, but even heavy vehicles are being swept away by the floodwater. Have a look:

A visual of a flooded restaurant in Old City went viral too, reports The Indian Express.

A total of 8 flights were reported to be diverted to nearby cities – 6 to Bengaluru and 1 each to Vijayawada and Chennai.

“Two persons have been washed away after nullahs overflowed due to heavy rains. Rescue team searching for them,” senior police officer K Purushottam.”
