We’ve seen men put in a lot of effort to surprise their partners. Some build comfort castles with fairy lights, food, and wine for their wives to relax after a long day at work, while others turn homes into movie theatres (complete with a ticket counter and a snack bar) for date night.
According to Hindustan Times, Twitter user Dan White also gave his wife a sweet surprise on her birthday. The passageway to their room was decorated with candles and flowers and he serenaded her by playing the guitar while sitting on the rose petal-covered bed.
The whole thing was romantic but also a little funny because he played “Smoke on the Water” by rock band Deep Purple one chord at a time.
I spent the last 11 months secretly learning guitar so I could surprise my wife on her birthday. pic.twitter.com/4tiPtKb4KH

Some people lauded his effort and asked him to play ‘Despacito’ while others asked him if he actually spent 11 minutes on learning the guitar instead of the 11 months he claimed in his post.
thank you for always bravely showing us what a REAL MAN is: thoughtful, vulnerable, and putting work into his relationship every day

His non-existent guitar skills notwithstanding, the gesture is 100% sweet and wholesome, don’t you think?
