Suspecting his wife of having an extramarital affair with a neighbourhood businessman, a husband hired a gunman to shoot the alleged boyfriend.
As reported by HT, a Delhi resident named Sonu Pandit gave a contract killer an expensive Beretta pistol to kill his wife’s alleged companion. The hitman was instructed to keep the expensive pistol worth Rs 6 lakh.
The alleged contract killer, Kulveer Dagar, a resident of Hari Nagar did fire a shot at the businessman but luckily he missed the shot and the bullet rebounded off the wall.
Soon after, the police were successful in arresting the contract killer from southwest Delhi’s Najafgarh. They also recovered the weapon from him.
Deputy Commissioner of police (crime) Joy Tirkey said on Thursday, the crime branch team received information about Dagar’s involvement in the firing. They got a tip-off that he would be in the area in the evening. “Dagar was caught with the Beretta pistol and two bullets,” Tirkey said. During interrogation, Dagar said he was hired by Sonu Pandit to kill the businessman. Pandit gave him the high-end Beretta pistol to shoot the businessman. The payment was the Beretta pistol itself,” he added.
People often tend to lose their ability to think rationally when they suspect their loved ones betraying their trust. But is it sensible to take such a deadly step? After all, the punishment of cheating can’t be death, can it?
