Hulk Hogan was the wrestler you wanted to come out next – be it on WWE on TV or while playing WWF cards with your friends.
In your head, you knew deep inside that he would win anything the world throws at him. He didn’t look like a madman like Triple H or a creep like Undertaker. Hulk Hogan smiled and laughed his way to victory, and that is why he was the most loved wrestler of our time!
1. He was the rank number 1 on our WWF cards, and we always won
Which card would hold out against a Kane for height or Scott Steiner’s biceps? Or when your friend would throw The Rock’s card screaming, “RANK NUMBER 2!”, fairly confident that he’d won.
Hulk Hogan always won in the game of cards!
2. We all tried to tear our shirt like he did every time, and our mothers beat us up
One thing that Hulk Hogan will be remembered forever is the way he tore off his t-shirt after every match.
As we were kids, we would try it too, and fail miserably at it. And if our mom saw us attempting it, we would get the beating of our lives!
3. He was the only one who was undefeatable against the new talent like The Rock, Shawn Michaels and Triple H
No matter how much we loved these three, when they would match up against Hulk Hogan, we still rooted for Hulk Hogan. And he always won against them!
4. He was the one whose success gave way to Wrestlemania which was originally Hulkamania
Hulk Hogan always wore his signature orange t-shirt with “HULKAMANIA” written on it. He started the mania, which evolved to Wrestlemania, which is the biggest WWE bash of the year.
He basically gave us the best event we loved to watch during our childhood!
5. The way he would point towards his opponent before finishing him off
Hulk Hogan would get beaten up, and we would always think that he is done and defeated, until one moment he would just get up and point a finger towards his opponent, and you knew that he will win!
6. The immortal leg drop that finished the opponents
After the finger point, he would somehow just get up and fight back and finish the opponent with his signature leg drop!
The leg drop we know to be very common today was his signature move back in the day.
7. He was the only one we rooted for whether it was The Rock or Triple HÂ against him
Hulk Hogan will always be or favorite!
8. If a wrestler defeated Hulk Hogan, he was a great wrestler!
Because a wrestler defeated Hogan, you were impressed! That wrestler must be really, really good!
Those were the good days back then.
We will never have another Hulk Hogan ever again!
