Yes! HSBC Bank which is a banking and financial services company and headquartered in London fired six employees after they were seen staging a mock ISIS video. This piece of news was reported by The Sun (a daily newspaper published in London). It showed five employees wearing black overalls and laughing at a South Asian colleague, who was kneeling, and wearing an orange jumpsuit.  “We took the decision to sack the individuals involved… This is an abhorrent video and HSBC would like to apologise for any offence caused,” said an HSBC spokesperson.

The Bank has apologised for any offence the video caused

In that video, one of the employees held a coat hanger as a pretend knife and the other one held the kneeling man by his shoulders. Amidst all that, one of them yells – ‘Allahu Akbar’, a phrase which is said by the ISIS group while beheading a man. It means – God is great. As soon as The Sun brought this to their attention, they fired all six of its employees stating that video was abhorrent.

This was a good step taken by HSBC. ISIS has received worldwide condemnation because of its videos. Most of the times, the journalists have been its targets. One of them was the USA journalist named James Foley and UK aid worker named David Cawthorne. But all of this doesn’t compare to the video in which they burnt Muath al-Kaseasbeh, a Jordanian pilot, alive. Hence, mocking them and making such videos just for the sake of fun isn’t justified at all.
