As an Indian, I’ve got a lot to write about ‘chai’, our national beverage! Apart from Bollywood and desi food, another thing that Indians are very possessive about is their ‘chai‘. Messing with tea is something no chai lover will ever forgive!
But everyone has their own way of preparing tea. Some like it with milk and sugar others like to sip piping hot black tea.
But the order in which tea is prepared has been an evergreen topic of debate for chai lovers. Some pour milk first and tea leaves and water later while
just to dip a tea bag in a cup of hot water to make their tea.The case in point is: For how long do you steep the tea bag in a cup of hot water to make tea?
And the correct way of making a perfect cup of tea has stirred a debate online. While some said that they don’t remove the tea bag until the cup is empty, a few said they choose to remove the tea bag just after a couple of stirs.
simply can’t trust people who don’t leave the tea bag to steep in the cup for a bit. you think you can get enough depth of flavour just by squashing it a lot with the back of a teaspoon? the arrogance. the ego. leave the room and walk away from it

If it’s not in the cup for 3-5 minutes I don’t think it legally can be called tea

T-bags? Only loose leaf will do.

If the teabag doesn’t touch your lips when you’re slurping it, then it ain’t worth drinking #DontTakeItOutOfTheCupEVER

The tea bag doesn't leave my cup until the tea is finished and the cup is in the sink; only then will I discharge it from its duties.

I’m so happy to see I’m not the only one that uses a timer. My family makes fun of me for this. Without a timer it’s 20-30 minutes before I remember I was making tea.

This is the proper way to make tea in a cup. Walk away for 3 – 4 minutes (depending on strength preference) and enjoy ❤️
And if you are one of those persons who drinks tea with the bag still in the cup and a tag and string hanging out? We can NOT be friends!! pic.twitter.com/PY1H0QY5jq
