Homeless Couple Who Couldn’t Afford Wedding Gets A Stunning Makeover & Photoshoot! See Pics

50-year-old Rosalyn Ferrer and 55-year-old Rommel Basco have been together for the past 24 years. They live in a small shack in the Philippines in an empty patch of wasteland with their six kids. They earn a living by collecting and selling plastic waste. Their only life mission is “getting enough food each day”.

According to Daily Mail, a man named Richard Strandz owns a salon near their home. After he spoke to the couple, he spoke to his friends so that he could arrange a surprise wedding for them!

“I found out about how the two have been living together for more than two decades but cannot afford a small wedding. I was touched by their love story so I contacted my friends who had a wedding supplies business and thought of surprising them with a charity wedding.”

Richard has helped the couple process the papers for their marriage licence and once that’s done, he’ll fund their church wedding. But for now, he made them go through a dreamy wedding photoshoot.

“True love is something that should be celebrated. It’s very special, no matter whether you’re rich or poor.”

He dressed Rosalyn in a white wedding gown and veil, Rommel in a white suit, and gave the couple a gorgeous makeover. He took to Facebook to upload the entire album. It captures everything – their reality of being plastic collectors, their home, their love for each other, romance, family, everything!

“We never had enough money and all we concentrated on was getting enough food to eat each day. Now I feel so blessed that it has happened. I’m so thankful.”
