Delhi Allows Home Delivery Of Liquor Through Websites & Apps, Desis Rejoice With Memes

After Punjab and Tamil Nadu, the Delhi government has now permitted the home delivery of liquor. According to NDTV, the Delhi Excise (Amendment) Rules, 2021, published in a gazette notification allowing the sale of Indian and foreign liquor through mobile apps or websites.

However, only vendors with a specific kind of license will be able to deliver booze to the doorsteps of their customers, reported News18.

“Licence in Form L-13 for home delivery of Indian liquor and Foreign Liquor by ordering through mobile app or online web portal. The licensee shall make delivery of liquor at the residences only if order is received through mobile app or online web portal and no delivery shall be made to any hostel, office, and institution,” read the notification.

Nonetheless, Delhiites took a sigh of relief on hearing this news and expressed their excitement through memes and jokes online.
