Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty And Paresh Rawal Set To Recreate The Magic In Hera Pheri 3

If you belong to the 90’s, you must have spent a part of your childhood watching and laughing to Priyadarshan’s iconic comedy film ‘Hera Pheri’. The Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal starrer had us laughing till our cheeks hurt and we got to admit, that it remains as one of Bollywood’s evergreen comedies.

Hera Pheri which was released in the year of 2000, was succeeded by its sequel ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ in 2006. Though the film could not match the success of the original, the trio recreated their magic on screen once again and left us asking for more. And for all our happiness, we finally have the news we have been waiting for.

According to sources, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal are all set to reunite with the 3rd chapter of the series, Hera Pheri 3. Mumbai Mirror quoted a source saying,

“The project was locked last month after the three actors gave their dates. It will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule between December 2018 and February 2019 and will release in the second half of next year.”

While Hera Pheri was directed by Priyadarshan and Phir Hera Pheri by Late Neeraj Vora, Hera Pheri 3 will have Indra Kumar as the director. He took to Twitter to post the news as a confirmation.

In case you do not know, Indra Kumar has had a successful career in comedy with hits like Ishq (1997), Masti (2004) and Dhamaal (2007). His other notable films include ‘Mann’ which had Aamir Khan and Monisha Koirala in the lead role and Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit starrer ‘Beta’ in 1992.

Neeraj Vora had locked the script of Hera Pheri 3 in 2014 but his unfortunate death 3 years later postponed the proceedings. With the 3rd part of the classic comedy set to return, we just cannot wait!
