We love a good hack and use food items in the kitchen as alternatives to expensive makeup products. Ghee works as a great lip balm and beetroots are an amazing lip stain. However, a woman named Briana Christianson recently tried mehendi as a lip tint and we don’t know how we feel about that.

Many Twitter users also noted that store-bought mehendi cones are not 100% organic and contain chemicals that can cause side effects like itching, redness, and swelling. A few pointed out that her lips would turn black as the colour intensifies and then eventually come off in patches.
