There’s a lot we can learn from dogs.
- They are the epitome of loyalty and always have our back.
- They love with all their hearts – no questions asked.
- They are always down to have fun and play games.
In addition to these useful life lessons, the furry creatures can also teach us a lot about road safety. Because even they know how crucial it is to wear helmets while riding a two-wheeler.
Here’s a photo of a doggo doing just that riding pillion behind its owner in the capital.
Somebody shared this pic with a caption
*Delhi mei traffic police ka Khauf* @dtptraffic @DelhiPolice pic.twitter.com/Lz9m1AXTko— Himanshu Gupta (@gupta_iitdelhi) September 5, 2019
The image first surfaced in September but recently, Twitter user @prernabindra shared it again and it went viral. People reacted by saying that the Delhi traffic police could use it to spread awareness and encourage everyone to obey traffic rules given that violations are now heavily penalized under the amended Motor Vehicles Act 2019.
People lauded the dog for his discipline and urged other road-users to follow in his paw-steps.
Beautiful. @RaoKavitha @Khaleeqrahman & @uthagainstspeed – we should use this image for the on going campaign to promote crash helmet use. https://t.co/HDWdMFF4DZ

This dog has better sense than most human beings who continue to think their head is not worth protecting. @Andrew007Uk @Khaleeqrahman https://t.co/t7hW4NyAbm

Sometimes dogs understand better than human beings that you wear a helmet for your own protection, and not because you have to avoid getting challaned. Yes, @dtptraffic should definitely use this photo in its awareness campaign. @CPDelhi https://t.co/U4tu7jnLD4

Not just dogs though, other animals are also wiser than us in a lot of ways. For example, crows know that empty plastic bottles need to be thrown in the dustbin rather than by the side of the road. And monkeys are mindful that water is a precious natural resource that should be conserved and not wasted.
