The job of the traffic police is to ensure people on the road obey traffic rules. And to this end, they are given the authority to impose fines on violators. However, despite the challans being issued, many still continue to flout the rules. To improve the situation, cops in Kerala decided to feed ladoos to helmet-less riders and spread traffic awareness. In Manipur, law enforcement officials distributed toffees to bring about real change and instil safety sense among people.
Now, the Motor Vehicles Act 2019 has come into effect and riding a bike/two-wheeler without a helmet will attract a hefty fine of Rs. 1,000 along with license suspension for 3 months!
But it seems the janta has found a loophole and are seen ‘walking’ with their two-wheelers instead of riding them to evade challans.
This is hilarious.

This video was shared by IPS officer Pankaj Nain and shows the traffic scene of an unknown location. On spotting the traffic police, the riders without helmets are getting off their vehicles and walking with them!
The tweeple are both amused and saddened in equal measure by the state of affairs. Many replied saying cops should either follow these offenders or install CCTV cameras to catch them red-handed.
Sir ask a constable to follow them. Let them walk to their destination like tht.

This is where fine needs to be impossed on serial offenders otherwise you wouldn't have any discipline in this nation.

Traffic police might employ creative ways (like recruiting Yamraj) to educate everyone about the risks of riding without a helmet, but ultimately it is up to individuals to follow traffic rules and ensure their own safety.
