Hayden Bowles dropped out of school when he was just 17 years old. Because by that time, he was earning a substantial amount of money via his well-established businesses. Today, we are here to tell you his success story.
Bowles’s urge to earn money began at a very young age when he would ask his parents for certain things and they would refuse to buy him what he wanted. That’s when he realised he needed to earn his own money.
“I think I was 10 or 11 and I wanted to buy something but couldn’t because I had no money and my parents wouldn’t buy it for me. And I realised that I’ve got to make my own money,” Moneycontrol quoted him saying.
He started to work at the age of 12. According to reports, his first-ever business venture was creating influencer pages on Instagram and selling shoutouts to e-commerce stores. From there, he went on to open his own store at Shopify, an online platform that helps small businesses build an online store and sell through them.
Bowles started dropshipping (a form of retail business in which the seller accepts customer orders without keeping stock on hand, and passes the order to a manufacturer or wholesaler who ships the order to the customer directly) and started earning a lot of money by doing so.
He was able to earn 25 million USD (Rs 205 crore approx) through his e-commerce business. Besides that, he has a YouTube channel with over 300K subscribers and designed an online course on Shopify dropshipping that he sells for 575 USD (Rs 47,000 approx) to each person. He also has a real estate company.
By the time he was 18 years old, he had enough money to buy a Lamborghini and by 19, he was a millionaire! And hence, he has retired from active full-time work at the age of 22.
“I still work, I love to work but I am technically retired because of the money I’ve set aside from real estate. The money that pays me does support my lifestyle,” he said.
