Haryana Maths Professor Teaches Love Formulas To Girl Students, Suspended After Video Goes Viral

Mathematics classes can turn out to be precisely boring if you don’t hold a passion for the subject. And probably, that is exactly the reason why Charan Singh, an assistant professor at a government college for women in Karnal, Haryana, tried to be creative with his lessons.

In a bid to make his class alluring for the students, Charan Singh decided to teach them formulas of love instead of numbers. In a video which is going viral on social media platforms, Singh can be seen explaining the relation between friendship, closeness, attraction, and love to the first year students of B.Com Government PG College, Sector 14.

One of the formulas he wrote on board was ‘Closeness- Attraction = Friendship.’ He went on to speak on the relationship between a husband and wife which according to him, falls apart with time. According to India Today, he also mentioned that the pillars of a good relationship are friendship, closeness, and attraction.

“Husband and wife become friends in old age after the physical attraction dies down.”

“The feeling of love comes when both the partners get attracted to each other. Both will quarrel with each other if the closeness is missing. In foreign countries, people change vehicle, house and even spouse if any of the ingredients are missing. Whereas in India, people continue with the relationship even if closeness and attraction is missing but this is good for the children.”

The girls had a good laugh during his class but made it a point to make a video of it.

Unfortunately for the professor, his attempt at being a love guru backfired massively and resulted in his suspension. He got a suspension letter through email which also removed him from the position of a maths teacher. However, he has been given another subject to teach.

Here is the video:

A Karnal-based social activist has also demanded the arrest of Charan Singh by writing a complaint to the police but it hasn’t been registered yet.
