Everyone dreams about having a magical wedding. People want all their favorite people, food and decorations to be around at their wedding venue making it as special as it can be. Everyone wishes to have all the little things that they love, be it pets or flowers at their wedding. But what to do when someone loves Harry Potter so much that they want it to be a part of their D-day?
Ria Scriggins and Matthew Tipper, the couple who fell in love with each other owing to their craze for J.K Rowling’s wizard series, just showed us how it is done!
The love-birds recently took vows of togetherness in a spellbinding Hogwarts-themed wedding at Leicestershire’s Glenfield Town Hall. Both of them wore Hogwarts gowns and carried wands adding magic to their dream wedding, reports Metro.
“I have always been a massive Harry Potter fan. I grew up reading the stories and every time I watch the films it takes me back to when I was younger”, Ria said.
“Before I met Matthew I had never met someone who liked it as much as me but he is just as passionate about Harry as I am. It’s wonderful to be able to share that with someone and when we decided to get married it seemed obvious to have a Harry Potter theme,” she added.
Right from their outfits to the decoration and owl to accompany Ria as she walked the aisle, everything in their wedding has the magical touch of Harry Potter.
“Everything about the wedding is Harry Potter themed even the vows. I said ‘After all this time?’ which is one of my favorite quote from Dumbledore and Matthew simply said ‘Always’. It was perfect,” Ria said.
Ria said she wore a white version of the gown that Hermione wore for the Yule Ball from the Triwizard Tournament in the fourth film.
“I studied the movies to cram as many Harry Potter details into the wedding. ‘Even the tables have little golden snitches on them, which are little Ferrero Rocher chocolates with wings on them,” she said.
Not just the wedding but the couple also plans to take a tour of the Harry Potter studios in Watford on their honeymoon.
