Heart Of Gold! Harmanpreet Kaur Carries A Girl Who Fell Ill During The Indo-Pak Clash

Indian women’s team allrounder Harmanpreet Kaur has kicked off her 2018 T20 World Cup campaign in outstanding fashion. The right-handed batsman who idolizes legendary Indian batsman Virender Sehwag, lived up to the qualities of the latter by smashing a scintillating century against the Kiwis in the tournament opener.

Her 103 run knock off just 51 deliveries saw her grab the headlines as she became the first Indian woman to register a T20 ton. After defeating New Zealand at Guyana, the Indians locked horns with arch-rivals Pakistan. And guess what? The Punjab born woman was on top of the news, again.

However, this time, it wasn’t for the dominance with her willow, but for a brilliant gesture of humanity which will soothe your heart.

During team India’s pre-match national anthem, the mascot accompanying Harmanpreet had some issues with her health.

Spotting the discomfort, the 29-year-old had a quick chat with the kid before the beginning of the anthem.

As soon as the chant ended, Harmanpreet picked the mascot up on her lap and carried her all the way to an official.

The loving act was caught on camera and was shared on Twitter.

On a different note, India emerged victorious over Pakistan by 7 runs in the encounter. And this lady, Harmanpreet, deserves a standing ovation for showing us the beautiful side of the sport.
