Last night, the first of the 3-match T20I series between India Women’s and England Women’s took place in Northampton. Even though England won by 18 runs as the match was cancelled due to heavy rains, India’s Harleen Deol became the star of the show.
According to India Today, Harleen Deol showed remarkable fielding skills last night. She pulled off a stunning catch to dismiss England’s Amy Jones and it is said that her catch will “go down as one of the greatest catches of all time”.
Amy Jones was batting on 43 off 26 balls when she hit the ball which seemed like it would cross the boundary. But Harleen caught the ball before that happened, tossed it up in the air as she stepped outside the boundary, stepped back in and caught the ball once again. Have a look at the video here:
