Have you watched the film ‘Baghban’? It was a reminder of how when many kids grow up to become independent, self-sustaining adults, they forget about their parents and their well-being. You will find innumerable cases of children abandoning their parents in their old age.
However, one couple from Haridwar decided to move court against their son demanding either a grandchild or Rs 5 crore compensation.
Haridwar, Uttarakhand | Parents move court against son&daughter-in-law, demand grandchildren/Rs 5 cr compensation.

This incident has left several people online divided. While on one hand, people slammed the son for not taking care of his parents, on the other hand, some others called out the parents for blackmailing their son.
Rich makes child to save tax.
Poor makes child to add earning member in the family.
Middle-income makes child for retirement planning.Trust me there is no real reason other than these to give birth.

Let's not go into the details here. But look how far we have come from our basic duties towards our parents,
1. Not providing the support when they are old.( monetary)
2. They have to move to court to ask for a grandchild from their son and DIL. https://t.co/9j5JBI2BlN— tridhanvA (@barani51) May 11, 2022
WTF is this? Either request for financial support or get lost. Kids have no legal obligation to breed for your delight. If having grand kids is that important, you should’ve bred more to increase the probability of getting grand kids. These nuisance lawsuits jam up the judiciary!

Asking for financial support in return is all fine but i do not get the logic behind giving them a grandchild ?

No one has a legal obligation to have kids. This is blackmail. https://t.co/dSShYpOc2R
