“I Should Miss Changing Diapers,” Hardik Pandya Retorts When Asked If He Misses Partying

Parents love spending time with their kids. Irrespective of whether you are a celebrity or a successful business person, every new parent wants to spend quality time with their little ones. After all, childhood days are a golden era filled with everlasting memories and eventful moments.

Speaking of which, Hardik Pandya, who is known for his flashy lifestyle, recently spoke about embracing parenthood. The 27-year-old and his wife Natasa Stankovic welcomed their first child earlier this year and it seems the Mumbai Indians all-rounder is aware of his responsibilities as a father, reports HT.

During a post-match interview after Mumbai Indians beat Kolkata Knight Riders, Pandya was questioned whether he misses attending parties after such glorious wins. To which the cricketer replied,

“I’ve become a father now so I think I should not miss that. I should be missing changing the diapers.”

Players are strictly restricted to the IPL bio-bubble due to safety measures amid the pandemic. During the on-going IPL, Pandya had even shared a picture of his wife and three-month-old baby boy, saying how much he misses them. Aww.

Reflecting on his batting, the all-rounder, who helped MI secure their 11th win in 12 matches against KKR, explained his thought process while holding the bat.

“I have been using that bat for three years now, so it has to be good. Just making sure that I keep working on my technique and maintaining the shape is more important. I go in deep in by batting, I really like to know about the factors which I am working on, and eventually when it turns out pretty well, I really enjoy it.”

He added, “It’s simple – see the ball, play the ball. In my batting, I keep it simple. I don’t think much about what the bowler is gonna bowl. I think the bowler is gonna bowl here, I prepare myself but then eventually I play merit of the ball.”

We wish the cricketer good luck for his upcoming matches. Hopefully, he will get to meet his little munchkin soon.
