Hardik Pandya Apologising To Ishan Kishan For Injuring Him Is What Sportsmanship Looks Like

Ishan Kishan

If cricket is a religion in India, then IPL is it’s Kumbh Mela. Ever since it’s inception in 2008, the professional T-20 cricket league has become an annual festival for all cricket bhakts. And it’s 11th edition which took off this month has been no different. Just a few matches into it, we’ve already witnessed numerous memorable moments. Dhoni‘s comeback with the Chennai Super Kings after 2 years, gave us a few uber cute glimpses of baby Ziva.

And of course, you remember the memes that came out of a picture of Hardik Pandya laying on the ground with a twisted ankle. Well, he’s back with an injury-related news, but this time it’s not him who’s hurt.

During a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on the 13th of this month, a direct throw by Pandya hit his teammate Ishan Kishan near his right eye. The Mumbai Indians wicketkeeper had to be immediately taken off the field.

The 19-year-old was seen writhing in pain and was attended to by the Mumbai Indians’ medical staff. Kishan was then replaced by Aditya Tare.

Hardik obviously felt bad about the whole incident and sent a rather sweet apology Ishan’s way.

Awww… Isn’t that just adorable? Both the picture of the duo and the heartfelt apology that went with it have struck the right chord with their fans.

One even offered the pair this advice:

Stay safe guys and keep up the good sportsmanship. Ishan we hope you make a speedy recovery.
