Hansika Motwani Addresses Rumours Of Her Injecting Growth Hormones Before ‘Aap Kaa Surroor’

When Hansika Motwani starred in ‘Shaka Laka Boom Boom’ and ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, people instantly fell in love with her bubbly smile and overall cuteness. However, things changed when she starred as the female lead in Himesh Reshammiya’s ‘Aap Kaa Surroor’. People were shocked to see a 15-16 year old looking like a complete woman and playing the role of one opposite a grown man.

At the time, several people had alleged that Hansika Motwani injected growth hormones to fully develop into a woman very quickly. Because apparently, there was no way she could have developed that fast.

She recently addressed these criticisms and called it the “expense of being a celebrity”. She denied the allegations of having injected growth hormones. India Today quoted her saying:

“This is the expense of being a celebrity. They wrote such crap when I was 21, you know what I am talking about. If I could have taken it that time, I can take it this time. Everyone wrote I have taken injections to grow up. When I was eight, then I became an actress, people said that my mum has given me injections, hormonal injections to grow up as a woman.”

She went on to claim that Punjabi women, like herself, develop fully by the age of 16. She went on to question the common sense of people who spread these rumours in the first place.

“If that is true, then I must be richer than Tata, Birla. If that is true, then I would have said, ‘Tum bhi aao, aa kar apni haddi baddi karvao (You also come to me and help yourself grow taller)’. What I am surprised about is that people who write this, unke pass dimaag naam ki cheez nahi hoti hai kya (Don’t they have common sense)? We are Punjabi people, our daughters shoot up between the age of 12 and 16.”
