It’s that time of the year when people indulge their inner darkness/geekiness and dress up without any inhibitions. There are creative costumes galore and makeup skills go pro. Candy is in abundance and so are cobwebs, skeletons and trippy lights! It’s Halloween, people, and darna zaroori nahi hai! What’s really important is to let your imagination run wild!
Halloween, celebrated every year on October 31, is essentially a Western concept. The movies, the costumes, the Jack o’ lanterns, the trick or treating—everything has a certain significance in the origin history of the one-day festival. However, in recent years, thanks to pop culture, Halloween has begun to gain quite popularity in India too, especially metros like Mumbai and Delhi. There are themed parties hosted, people dress up and basically it’s just another excuse to go wild and have fun.
In fact, a lot of our Bollywood and television celebs are indulging the Halloween trend, because it gives them a fun excuse to play with costumes, hair and makeup!
