What do you do when you can’t find a particular ingredient to make a dish or a drink? Just leave it out or substitute it with a similar tasting ingredient, right? And no one is better at the art of substitution than an engineer who has lived in a hostel. Case in point, Twitter user Jasmin’s husband who didn’t want to go all the way to the kitchen for black salt and lemon for his Gin and soda. His solution? Add a Hajmola!
Husband just put a hajmola into his Gin and soda coz he was too lazy to go to the kitchen and make a proper drink with kala namak and nimbu.
You can take engineer out of the hostel but you can't take the hostel out of the engineer.— Jasmin 🇮🇳 (@jazzmatazz23) November 28, 2020
People said his jugaad was ‘kaafi genius’ and suggested using Eno if he ran out of soda!
Kudos, man (your hubby)! You give us erstwhile hostel-ites some glory!
