In a world of elaborate marriage proposals and immense social media pressure, it might be difficult coming up with a new way to pop the question. From flash-mobs to over the top ‘Marry Me’ signs, the bar has been set too high. However, one man decided to take a completely different route to propose to his girlfriend.
30-year-old Edi Okoro living in UK bought an engagement ring for his girlfriend Cally months ago. He took the ring wherever they went hoping for the right moment to arrive. However, after a month when the awaited “moment” didn’t arrive, he decided to play around with it a little.
He went on to take the ring out every time Cally was looking away or sleeping and snap pictures of the moment – basically proposing to her without her knowing.
He knew that one day his prank will get caught and he will end up proposing to her. Till then, it was time to have some fun!
He made an album called ‘How I Proposed To Cally’ which includes photos of the most bizarre situations in which the ring was exposed!
Like placing it on her hand when she was sleeping.
Or when she was billing her groceries in the supermarket.
Or when she was sightseeing. How can she miss this?!
Or when she was in the kitchen looking for ingredients.
Or even when she was scrolling through her phone and he placed the ring on top of her. Still, she had absolutely no clue!
I love how he’s messing around!
Finally, on August 31st, Edi proposed to Cally. How he did is “a story for another day”, he says! However, he does mention that he never did get caught and that Cally got to know of his plan weeks later.

So we did end up getting engaged, and no I didn’t get caught 😉…..but how I did it is a story for another time 🤣 stay…
