“They Cut My Poor Boy.” Father Of 7 YO Murdered In Gurugram School Talks About Son’s Death

In a day, so many things attract our attention. Some worthy, some not, but there is a section that talks about things you never want to hear. Things that jolt you out of your comfort and bring you face to face with brutal reality. Like the news of attempted sexual assault and murder of a 7-year-old kid!

A class 2 student of Ryan International School in Gurugram was found lying in a pool of blood inside a toilet yesterday, sending shock waves amongst people who heard the news.

While early investigation had not given away the whereabouts of the crime, Varun Thakur, father of the victim, knew that it was a cold-blooded murder.

“It is a clear case of murder, don’t know what happened but I am sure its murder.”

And murder it was. The innocent boy was killed by a bus conductor, Ashok Kumar, who killed him because he refused to have sex! Simardeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police said,

“Accused attempted to sexually assault the boy, when the boy raised an alarm he killed him. He had gone to use the toilet where he saw the boy.He had the knife with him in his pocket.”

Reportedly, Kumar stabbed the child twice, washed the knife in the washroom and threw the same at the site of the crime. Ironically, after the child’s body was discovered, it was Kumar who helped the school authorities take him to Artemis Hospital, reports India Today.

He had been working at the school for the past 8 years.

Although the killer is nabbed, nothing takes away from the fact that Vinod will never see his kid again. According to Indian Express, the grieving father was fighting tears when he said,

“They cut my poor boy. The doctors told me the killer stabbed him twice. There was a big scar starting from his ear to the throat. His ear had been cut, and two flaps of skin exposed the insides of his throat. I never thought I would see my son in such a condition.
My son had told me that the bus conductor would use the bathrooms. Does the school not take into account this kind of gross misconduct? The bigger culprits are the school authorities who mint money like an industry.”

Even the bereaved mother of the victim, Jyoti, said,

“The school could not even ensure basic safety for my son, how will the parents send children to school?”

Like I said, the accused has been arrested, but justice is still pending. Hopefully, that will come by too and soon. Before leaving; what have we become? Monsters?
